Why did my website and e-mail stop working?
Common reasons include:
  1. Your domain or hosting account may have expired
  2. If your website shows a message "Suspended" and your e-mail has stopped working then this usually means one of the following:
    • Your account has been frozen by our billing department. None of your files will have been deleted and the domain name(s) is/are safe. However to get your site and e-mail working again, you will need to contact the Billing Team.
    • If you go over your monthly data-transfer limit, your hosting account will be automatically frozen. If you wish to reactivate your site, you have the option of purchasing additional data-transfer or upgrading your account by contacting the Renewal Team
    • If your account has surpassed any of the Shared Hosting Limits (see here), your hosting account will be frozen. If you wish to reactivate your site, you must contact the Hosting Support Team
  3. If your website does not show a "Suspended" message but your email has stopped working, goto http://yourdomain.com/webmail to bring up your web based email client. Log in and check your email using this interface. If this works then there may be a configuration problem with your email client, double check all of your email configuration settings (refer here) even if you are certain nothing has changed with these settings.
Note: 'yourdomain.com' must be replaced with your actual domain name.

Does Aware automatically backup my data?
For shared hosting, backups are made weekly. No guarantees are made of any kind, either expressed or implied, as to the integrity of these backups. Backups are made for server restoration purposes only. It is the customers' responsibility to maintain local copies of their web content and any information. The Backup Manager is included in each hosting plan (Linux Servers only) and you can use this tool to backup your files.

How do I renew my hosting?
To renew the hosting services, you must take the following actions before the expiry date:
Note: Hosting services are 'pre-paid' and renewed only upon receipt of payment.

What happens if my hosting expires?
Whenever a particular hosting service is not renewed till the Expiry Date, it would slip into the Renewal Grace Period (7 days). All such hosted websites would be put on a Suspended Page, which would indicate that the website is temporarily unavailable. During this period, the hosting space and all associated services (such as website, email, ftp, etc) would become non-functional and inaccessible. Any hosting services renewed during this period will take 24 to 48 hours to become active again.

What happens if my hosting is not renewed during the Renewal Grace Period?
If you do not renew the hosting service in the Renewal Grace Period, then the hosting space allocated to your domain and all associated files would be deleted and cannot be Redeemed.
